Established over 40 years ago, and located on the beautiful Currituck Sound of the Outer Banks, North Carolina, Stuart’s Hunting Lodge is known for its long established traditions and hospitality that is second to none.
Currituck is known as the “Sportsman’s Paradise,” and is Algonquian for “Land of the Flying Goose.” It is located in the middle of the Atlantic Flyway, a valuable winter resting area and migration route for an abundance of waterfowl.
We combine the nostalgia of the lodge with adventurous flavors to make our jellies, jams, marinades, and sauces. We believe that sauces should be authentic and different from other options on the market, while keeping that homemade taste. Our ingredients are sourced from produce grown in our garden and local farmers. We use only the finest ingredients and produce small, homemade batches of our sauces.
When soaked in Currituck Duck Sauces and Marinades for several hours, low-fat geese and ducks will be moist, delicious, and tender. Bathing meat for several hours in our sauces and any vegetable oil will add moisture and fat. Meat is tenderized when acidic components like wine, vinegar, and fruit juices begin the cooking process by breaking down meat proteins. Whole ducks should be marinated for 3 to 12 hours. Duck parts need only 3 to 4 hours of marinating.

Our sauces are made from only the freshest fruit and produce, real cane sugar (no high fructose corn syrup), organic when available, and non GMO ingredients. Some of our distinctive duck sauces are Orange Marmalade Hot Pepper Jelly and Mulled Merlot Blueberry Sauce.
